With a commitment to preventative health and long-term wellbeing, we embrace an approach to hormonal wellness that is not only evidence-based but intuitive, nurturing and healing. We combine our extensive education with active, hands-on clinical work and personal experience to guide you on your journey through midlife and aging.

In the company of like-minded, supportive women and a team of expert practitioners, we empower you to flourish with these changes in a healthy and positive way.

Working with us at this retreat, you will also embrace a growth mindset, and gain clarity surrounding your intentions for aging, as well as the toolkit needed to bring these intentions to fruition.

You will spend 4 incredible days laughing, learning and communing with women who personally understand the nuances and challenges of the emotional and physiological changes you are experiencing.

Kristin

I am a functional nutritionist with advanced training in holistic nutrition as well as a specialty in perimenopause and menopause health. I am Board Certified in Holistic Nutrition through the National Association of Nutrition Professionals, a certified DUTCH hormone test practitioner, and a graduate of the Nutritional Therapy Association’s Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner program. In addition, I have special training in amino acid therapy for anxiety and mood disorders as well as mindset coaching to facilitate change. I completed a professional mentorship with naturopathic endocrinologist Dr. Rebecca Provorse in 2020. I am also a “recovering” corporate attorney!

In my downtime, you will find me with my husband hiking, exploring the world, or catching up with my adult sons. At home, I am typically and happily covered in golden retriever fur.

Maria

I am a functional health coach with a specialty in perimenopause and menopause. I graduated from The Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2013 and then studied in a hormone program for practitioners with Dr Sara Gottfried in 2014. I spent the first 8 months of 2015 completing the Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Certification Program and, in 2017, completed the Menopause Method Program for Physicians with Dr David Rosensweet. I have been personally mentored by hormone scholar Dr Lindsey Berkson and naturopathic endocrinologist Dr Rebecca Provorse.
When I am not working with clients, you will find me traveling, horseback riding, walking outdoors or cooking.

MINDSET: Elizabeth Erna

Elizabeth has always had a strong passion for health and personal development. After years of dealing with migraines, painful digestive issues, and intense stress and anxiety, Elizabeth started to deepen her understanding of the body and mind connection. The ongoing symptoms led them to recognize the damaging effect of a limiting mindset, sub-optimal diet, and lifestyle on overall health.

By focusing on what Elizabeth put into her body and mind, she experienced significant changes, including the disappearance of chronic issues, improved strength, increased self-worth and confidence, and a deeper connection to purpose. Inspired by these transformations, Elizabeth wanted to empower others to experience similar benefits.

Elizabeth’s background in boxing competition and as a StrongFirst kettlebell instructor taught her a great deal, but she pursued additional training as a Functional Health Coach through Chris Kresser’s ADAPT program and as a National Board of Health & Wellness coach. These programs emphasized holistic health practices and behavior-change principles.

Elizabeth understands there is no set-and-forget approach to health and happiness and no one-size-fits-all solution. She believes that thriving as one’s best self is a daily practice that requires intention and adjustments to honor unique needs. As a coach, Elizabeth works with clients to identify their definition of thriving and establish habits that support their goals and desired life.

SLEEP COACH: Kelly Murray

Kelly is a sleep coach for busy and ambitious professionals
who are trying to do it all . . . if only they could get some sleep.

Her previous professional background in a Big 5 Consulting Firm and as a High Performing Medical Device Account Manager and Sales Trainer for a Fortune 500 Company for more than 10 years combined with her being a mother of 2 allows her to perfectly understand the everyday challenges of busy professionals are facing today.

As a certified Adult Sleep Coach and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition – Practioner, she combines physical and metaphysical know-how to help people with their insomnia, using lab tests and stress resilience techniques to deliver the best outcome possible.

She is a speaker and has hosted customized seminars for major corporations including Google, LinkedIn, Deloitte, Baxter Health and Chapman and Cutler LLP. She has also been featured on numerous media outlets, such as WGN, FOX Chicago, NBC Chicago, The Washington Post, WSJ and Forbes.

She is also an award-winning pediatric sleep consultant, she has built her own successful business and team and helped over 1,000 families worldwide.

She graduated with a BBA from the University of Michigan – Dearborn with high distinction.

Mindset Kickoff with Elizabeth: To thrive at this stage in life, having a clear picture of what you want, why you want it, and a positive mindset around it is crucial. This 90-minute session will include group discussion, visualization, and journaling exercises to help you create a unique vision of health and vitality. The focus is on strengthening your mindset, connecting with your vision, and feeling supported and empowered. Throughout the retreat, there will be micro-sessions to reinforce the takeaways and ensure your success on this path towards thriving.

And when you need a break, we’ve built in free time to allow you to relax and explore the area, helping you unwind and recharge.

After lunch:
Dive deep into sleep with Kelly Murray: As a certified Adult Sleep Coach and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition – Practitioner, she combines physical and metaphysical know-how to help people with their insomnia, using lab tests and stress resilience techniques to deliver the best outcome possible.

For those who love getting their hands dirty, our Floral Arranging session is a must. You’ll have the opportunity to create stunning floral arrangements and unleash your creativity. And when you need a break, our Free time/Break gives you a chance to relax and recharge or visit our Tree Spa for a little extra pampering. Embrace the power of learning and creativity with our engaging and hands-on sessions!

Bonfire with gourmet s’mores – A bonfire gathering with gourmet s’mores.

The Microbiome and Breast Cancer with Maria and Kristin: Important Cross Talk. Understand the importance of gut health beyond just simply the presence (or absence) of gut-related symptoms, especially as it applies to breast cancer risk. Learn strategies for reducing your breast cancer risk by tending to your microbiome. 

And when you need a break, we’ve built in free time to allow you to relax and explore the area, helping you unwind and recharge.

After lunch:
Managing Nutrition in Midlife Using Macros with Maria and Kristin: As hormones shift, being intentional with our food choices becomes essential to optimizing and maintaining body composition and metabolic health. But how can we manage something we don’t measure? Whether for a few days a month or as a regular habit, learn how to use macros to manage your midlife nutrition and health goals.

After, you will be shuttled into beautiful downtown Kennebunk Port to enjoy an afternoon stroll through the shop-lined streets.

Check-in is guaranteed by 3:00 PM. Please contact the hotel prior to arrival if you would like to request an earlier check-in time.

Should you arrive early and your cottage is not quite ready, guests are welcome to enjoy the resort and amenities until check-in.

Check-out time is prior to 11:00 AM. Late check-outs are based on availability and may incur an additional fee.

Traveling solo? No problem. you will have your own room and bathroom in the cottage but  we’ll pair you up with a same-sex housemate to share your journey. Warning: this could lead to life-long friendships and memories to last a lifetime!

While we love kids, this is an adults-only event.

No, each traveler is responsible for getting to and from the retreat.
