The world came to a screaming halt two years ago.
And even as the gears start moving again, many of us feel…stuck.
Adapting to life post-COVID looks different for everyone—
but what’s universal is the deep desire to bust out
of our collective rut.
And that’s precisely what we’re going to do.
Snowbird Resort, Utah
Labor Day Weekend
September 2-5th, 2022
Now is the time to explore new options, reawaken our potential, and step toward the future we want to create and the elevated version of ourselves we want to become.
What if you could…
This is exactly what Adapt Live is about.
It’s an opportunity to get “unstuck” and plant the seeds of transformation—in whatever area of your life you’re focused on.
We’ve partnered with Bee the Wellness—winner of Paleo magazine’s “Best Paleo Retreat” and experts in creating transformational experiences—to curate an exceptionally unique event just for you.
The setting is the Snowbird Resort, nestled in the breathtaking and awe-inspiring Wasatch Range of the Rocky Mountains in Utah, just 45 minutes from the Salt Lake City International Airport.
Make this the high point of your year—
and the catalyst for a brighter future.
Let’s ascend together, and discover the power
of personal growth and shared experience.

Move toward the best version of you—revived, inspired, and teeming with potential.

Labor Day Weekend
September 2-5th, 2022
**Limited to 45 attendees**
Circle group
Once you’ve registered for the event, you’ll be invited to join an online group (using the Circle platform, which has all of the benefits and features of social media apps like Facebook but is entirely private). This will allow us to start getting to know each other and plant the seeds for a transformative event.
Setting intentions
We’ll ask you to consider your intention for the event: Where are you stuck? What shift or transformation do you want to create? How do you want your life to be different after the event compared to before?
Pre-event exploration and practice
We’ll also send you some brief things to read and watch to invite new perspectives and set the stage for the event.
At the retreat
All-inclusive
Your registration fee includes a carefully curated lunch, dinner, and snacks. (*Breakfast is not included, but is available at two restaurants at the resort.) Choose from a range of healthy and nutritious meals, each crafted with wholesome ingredients and accommodations for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, and Paleo options.
Our approach to all-inclusive isn’t about quantity, but quality. We’ve tended to every detail of this weekend so that you can really and truly relax. No additional fees or upsells, no hurdles, nothing you weren’t ready for.
Breakthrough sessions with Chris & Guides
Each day you’ll participate in interactive sessions, co-facilitated by Chris and other guides, with practices and tools for becoming unstuck and moving toward the intention you created.
Don’t worry—we won’t be stuck in a conference room the whole time! Some sessions will be indoors, some will be outdoors, some will be stationary, some will involve movement. They’re designed to be engaging and experiential—after all, we can’t get unstuck by being stuck inside of a room the whole time!
Day 1: Explore
Your first day is about getting oriented, meeting each other, and exploring all that the weekend and the location have to offer. This is when we set intentions for what lies ahead and create the conditions for change.
Afternoon: Arrival, registration, and opening circle
Once you’ve registered and settled in, we’ll gather as a group to set intentions for the weekend and create the container for a powerful and transformative experience.
Before dinner: Orientation and opening talk
Your host, Chris Kresser, will give an opening talk, introduce you to your guides, and orient you to the schedule for the weekend.
After dinner: Connecting as a community
After dinner, we’ll do some fun icebreaking activities to get to know each other.
Day 2: Experience
Now that you’ve got your bearings and have set your intention, you can allow yourself to be fully present in the experience of the weekend, and learn how acceptance of who and where we are is critical to change.
Early morning: Meditation and movement sessions
We’ll begin the day with guided meditation and movement sessions to awaken our bodies and minds.
After breakfast: Morning “breakthrough session”
We’ll dive right into exploring some of the key themes of the retreat, including the power of a growth mindset, acceptance as a doorway to change (and the difference between acceptance and submission), the neuroscience of transformation, and more.
After lunch: Outdoor activity and/or free time
Join a guided group hike, or explore one of Snowbird’s 130 networked hiking trails. Refresh and revitalize at The Cliff Spa at Snowbird. Soak up some sun and relax at the pool. Take a nap. Write in your journal and reflect on the day. Or, just unwind and enjoy the incredible natural beauty of the Wasatch range.
Before dinner: Afternoon “breakthrough session”
We’ll explore various strategies and tools for working with an issue, including “zooming in and zooming out”, reframing, shrinking the change, pleiotropy vs. root-causism, connecting with your why, and more.
After dinner: Live music and celebration
At night, we’ll enjoy a festival atmosphere and celebratory spirit, with live music, dancing, and more—a truly celebratory way to end every day.
Day 3: Express
Today is devoted to the pleasure and joy of connecting with yourself and others in body, mind, and spirit, and practicing how to create these conditions here and everywhere else.
Early morning: Meditation and movement sessions
We’ll begin the day with guided meditation and movement sessions to awaken our bodies and minds.
After breakfast: Morning “breakthrough session”
We’ll explore how elevating mood and cultivating pleasure and joy create the conditions for breakthrough and transformation. We’ll get some real-time practice, and we’ll discuss strategies for integrating these approaches into your daily routine.
We’ll talk about the “ecosystem of change,” why being stuck is never purely an individual phenomenon, the role of expectations, and how to identify opportunities for movement in growth even when you’re not in full control. We’ll also begin a discussion about “radical self-care”—how to make time for yourself when it seems there is no time.
After dinner: Dance party!
To celebrate the final night of the retreat and the progress we’ve made, we’ll have a lively and fun dance party and enjoy being in our full humanity together!
Day 4: Expand
While we bring our own weekend experience to a close, we’ll discuss how to implement the insights and strategies you’ve gained this weekend into your own life and continue the growth you started here.
Early morning: Meditation and movement sessions
We’ll begin the day with guided meditation and movement sessions to awaken our bodies and minds.
After breakfast: Closing session
We’ll finish our discussion about “radical self-care”, and then we’ll conclude our time together by reflecting on our experiences at the event and offering ideas and support for how to integrate your insights and breakthroughs into your daily life.
After the retreat
Online Circle group
We’ll keep the Circle group open for a period of time after the retreat, so participants can continue to support each other and integrate their experiences.
Zoom meetup
We’ll have a Zoom meetup a month or so after the retreat to give ourselves the chance to reconnect and explore future possibilities.

Chris’s vision for this weekend? A uniquely experiential weekend retreat that’s equal parts community festival and personally transformative journey.
“The pandemic has forever changed our world. While it has created unique challenges, it has also created a unique opportunity, to reinvent ourselves, to grow and evolve, and to seize the chance to live our best lives. When I think of the biggest breakthroughs I’ve had in my life, they share a few things in common: they happened outside of the context of my daily life, in connection with nature, and in a community of supportive and like-minded people. That’s what we’ve created with the Adapt Live event. ” – Chris Kresser

Snowbird’s base elevation is 8,100 feet, and its highest point is at Hidden Peak, where the Tram docks, is a whopping 11,000 feet. It shares Little Cottonwood Canyon with Alta Ski Area to the east, just up the canyon over a ridge that separates the two.
The Accommodations
The Cliff Lodge at Snowbird is one of North America’s most iconic ski lodges—and just underwent major renovations. Take in the majesty of Little Cottonwood Canyon from your window—either facing Snowbird’s ski slopes or peering down the glacially carved canyons spilling into the Salt Lake City valley below.
Within walking distance to Snowbird’s pedestrian village, The Cliff Lodge offers beautifully appointed lodging, with access to an exercise room, resort-wide internet service, room service, and concierge.
The Food
We’ll provide two delicious, nutrient-dense meals each day (lunch and dinner), plus snacks, that are as tasty as they are healthy, featuring pastured meat, high-quality oils and butter, and gluten-free/dairy-free, paleo, and vegetarian options.
